Week 8 Final Blog

As I approach my last week of this term, I'm excited to begin my next two classes.  Term II I will be attending English Composition II and Oral Communication.  I believe ENG COMP II will need my attention more than Oral Communication.  English will require thinking skills and knowledge of grammar.  I have done really well in English Comp I, but can expect to pick up the past for next term.  However, the career goal I have as an HR Manager will require wisdom from Oral Communication as well.  Communication goes a long way and has to be shown with professionalism and proper grammar.  I really appreciated my English Comp I class due to what I have learned about writing papers and essays.  I have never written an important paper before now.  Of course in high school you must past the writing test, but it was nothing like the MLA format that was require in this course.  I never knew about the type of text or font size required for important papers.  English Composition will stay with me for my entire life and I will always refer back to the graded papers I have.  Currently I'm not employed but on my last job I had to respond to numerous emails and proper grammar would have been extremely helpful.  Just so you know Mr. Darville, this was my first time creating a blog and my first time doing a power point presentation.  My son is twelve years old and told me he has done a power point at school already.  I'm glad to know college will not be his first time creating a blog or a power point presentation.  My knowledge from Shorter University will help me in my new career and everyday life as well.
