My career and educational goals collaborate from one another. My educational goal is already heading in the right direction thus far. I planned to attend school for my Bachelors degree in Business Administration three years ago but never took the second step. I would always just meet with an adviser and that would be it. As I stated in my blog last week, I let my previous job stop me from going to school. Nothing is going to get in my way this time. I'm going all the way this time and not stopping til I graduate with my degree in hand.
As far as my career goal, without my degree there are no areas of opportunity. I deeply plan to use my degree to land a career in a corporate office of an established company or a credit union. Working a career job will be only temporary. At least til twenty years are up. I plan to own a few rental properties in the Buck-head area here in Atlanta. Being an Entrepreneur is what I'm more on the lines for. I have a cousin that happens to be a realtor and she currently owns a few properties. She has a fiance with a home improvement/construction company that can help with properties that may need some work. During my employment at the established company, I will gain 401k and maybe purchase some of the companies stock. This will be a pillow for me until my own business kicks off. I have a few small business ideas for the creative side of me as well. So I have a plan, and with this degree its all possible. I'm guessing fifty-six is a good age to retire and by then my properties should already be gaining revenue and I will be enjoying life.
